Maria Kvaløy Kirste has a master’s degree in energy, climate and environmental economics from the Norwegian University of Environmental and Biosciences (NMBU) and a bachelor’s degree in Innovation and leadership from the Hauge School of Management, NLA. In her master’s thesis, Maria did a case study of climate work in three Norwegian municipalities, calculated emission projections and came up with recommendations for reaching their climate goals by 2030. Maria also has a bachelor’s degree in drama and theater from NTNU.

In Menon, Maria has, among other things, worked with green business development, climate change, emissions calculations and evaluation of climate policy instruments and measures. She started in Menon in August 2022.
