Lars graduated with a Master of Business Administration and Economics from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) in 2009. In his master’s thesis he analyzed how temporary positions can act as a stepping stone to permanent positions in the labor market. The thesis received the award for best master’s thesis in economics at NHH. During the studies Lars had an exchange to Lancaster University. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Oslo.
Lars has nine years of experience from the Office Audit General of Norway (OAGN), first as a performance auditor and later as methodological advisor. He has long experience in complex studies of topics in the employment and welfare sector, the transport sector, the health sector and the defense sector. He has also conducted several studies in the field of profit realization, particularly related to ICT projects.
As a methodological advisor, he developed techniques and taught courses within efficiency and effects as well as achievement of objectives. Lars has in-depth knowledge of various qualitative and quantitative methods and techniques, such as in-depth interviews, surveys, register data analysis and econometric analysis. In addition, Lars has good knowledge about the governance and organization of public sector, both on national and regional levels.
